There might be the odd little thing happening this week – the Greek financial crisis, for example, or Wimbledon, or the obligatory Glastonbury post-mortem (Kanye who?).
But cast aside those niggling thoughts because the really big news* is this: my new book is out on 2nd July!
First One Missing is a thriller about a serial killer preying on young girls in leafy North London. Or, to be more accurate, it’s about the support group set up by the families of the victims. As police desperately race against time to find the killer, the grieving parents and siblings struggle to make sense of what’s happened to them and to negotiate relationships with police, press and, most of all, each other in this dark, unfamiliar, nightmarish landscape in which they find themselves.
Welcome to the club no one wants to join.
